About the Chamber
"...if you have a business within one mile of the Watering Post you can join the West Malling Chamber of Commerce..."

Just four years ago this was part of the Constitution and although we love and celebrate the tradition and history of this beautiful market town - things have changed!

With many businesses running from home offices and with the internet widening so many horizons, the West Malling Chamber welcomes all businesses within a ten mile radius of the Town who operate or offer support services to the busy High Street and Kings Hill development.

The commercial community are striving and succeeding in building West Malling and the surrounding areas. This includes Leybourne, Ryarsh, Kings Hill, Snodland, Mereworth into a vibrant community where people will want to visit and enjoy and where this will in turn promote the local High Street and shops who will be able to support the huge band of businesses located outside the main Town but offering essential services and products.

The Chamber meets once a month throughout most of the year (excluding August and December) on the third Tuesday of each month.

The meetings are alternated to ensure that it is not all work and no play!  On a rotation it is hoped to hold a Business, Social and Training meeting to suit the requirements of the Town and Members.  The Chamber is about meeting people and building on its already successful business arena.

THE TEAM

With over 70 Members currently participating in the meetings, networking, social and training events, it is essential that to continue to ensure the Chamber is moving forward and working for the whole community, that there is constant action and progression. The achievements to date have taken a lot of time and effort behind the scenes!

To help progress these changes and improvements and introduce new ideas and marketing strategies, the Chamber is supported by a smaller Committee.

The Committee is divided into sections to ensure that each section of the community has an opportunity to be heard and represented.

Everyone is invited to take part and participate in making their own Chamber the success it has become today and the Committee works because the volunteers are pro-active and enthusiastic to ensure we maintain the busy, flourishing feel of the Town.
